This documentation has information on how to enable pop-ups on each desktop web browser.

This is useful in many scenarios. For example, this is necessary to do before submitting a request to chat with a myTECH Helpdesk representative.

Enabling Pop-ups for Chrome

  1. Open Chrome.

  2. At the top right corner of the screen, click on the Chrome Menu button (three vertical dots).

  3. Click Settings.

  4. At the bottom of the page, click Advanced.

  5. Under "Privacy and security," click Content settings.

  6. Under "Content Settings," click Popups.

  7. Under "Popups," turn "Blocked (recommended)" on or off.

  8. Under "Popups," click on Add to add an allowed site.

  9. Where it says "[*]," type ""

  10. Click ADD and exit out of Settings.

Enabling Pop-ups for Mozilla Firefox

  1. Open Mozilla Firefox.

  2.  At the top right corner of the screen, click on the menu button.

  3. Click Options.

  4. On the left-hand side of the screen, click Content.

  5. Under "Pop-ups" click Exceptions...

  6. Type under "Address of website," click Allow.

  7. Click Save Changes and exit out of options.

Enabling Pop-ups for Internet Explorer

  1. Open Internet Explorer.

  2. At the top right corner of the screen, click on the Gear.

  3. Click Internet options.

  4. Click Privacy.

  5. Click Settings.

  6. Type under "Address of website to allow" and click Add.

Enabling Pop-ups for Edge

  1. Open Microsoft Edge.

  2. At the top right corner of the screen, click More.

  4. At the bottom of the settings, click View advanced settings.

  5. Switch the setting under Block pop-ups from On to Off.

Enabling Pop-ups for Safari

  1. Open Safari.

  2. After opening safari, you will need to click on the word Safari in the top right corner.

  3. Next click on the word Preferences, to get to the settings for the browser.

  4. After opening the setting you will click on the Security tab to get to pop-up settings.

  5. After getting security, you will uncheck the box that that says Block pop-up windows.

  6. Congratulations you have allowed pop-up windows.
