Closed Until Further Notice

For the safety and health of our students, faculty, and staff, TECHcheck will remain closed until further notice to prevent the possible spread of the COVID-19 virus.


TECHcheck @ the Learning Commons offers a technology checkout service (TECHcheck) to currently enrolled TTU students. Laptops, projectors and other technologies are available for checkout at TECHcheck and may be used for the purposes of study, work and research.

Individuals wishing to check out equipment MUST have their EagleCard to request equipment.

While in possession of checked-out equipment:

  • borrowers are responsible for ensuring that the equipment is returned in operating condition.
  • borrowers are responsible for their own data. We recommend saving data to portable or cloud-based storage solutions.  We cannot guarantee that data left on a device will be recoverable at a future date. All files will be erased after the computer is returned. 
  • borrowers must return the technology to a TECHcheck staff member. No items should be left unattended at either TECHcheck or the Library Circulation Desk.


Fines are assessed on items that are kept beyond the checkout duration. The amount of the fine depends on the item and the length of time that item is overdue.

In addition to offering equipment for checkout to the campus community, TECHcheck also provides assistance with any issues patrons may experience while using the equipment in the Library Commons, i.e. projectors and displays in study rooms, computers in the Library Commons lab, etc. 

If you experience issues while using equipment in the Library Commons, please report it to one of the TECHcheck staff members.  They will do their best to assist you and restore the normal operation of equipment as soon as possible.
