Information Technology Services grew out of the central computer facility located in Clement Hall. The D.W. Mattson Computer Center was named in honor of Professor Dale W. Mattson, who brought the first digital computer, an IBM 650, to the University in the 1960s.

Information Technology Services provides computer resources, services, and support for instruction, research, and administration at Tennessee Tech.
